HOUSTON – (Realty Information Report) &#8211 Houston restaurateur Benjamin Berg, who has strike a collection of culinary household runs  in cafe company, is opening a bistro in the new Texas Tower workplace making in downtown Houston.

Berg Hospitality tapped New York Town-based ICRAVE to reimagine the spherical area on the foyer level. “Sylvie,” the French form of Sylvia, is a name originating for the Latin word for forest and denotes the result of the lighting and architecture of the space—a preternatural tree lit from within just. At The Sylvie, seating will be offered for 85 attendees in a bistro bar and dining area with tables and banquettes.

Adhering to The Sylvie, Berg Hospitality Team is slated to open up a next concept in Texas Tower in summertime 2024. Named Dune Highway, this seafood-centric notion guarantees to convey a taste of New England to Downtown, Berg suggests.

In 2015, Hines paid around $50 million to acquire the Texas Tower web site, the longtime site of the previous Houston Chronicle. The newspaper still left downtown and moved to the suburbs in the outdated Houston Put up developing on the Southwest Freeway.

The Chronicle’s downtown web site lined 99,184 SF of land such as a half-block parking garage at 710 Preston. The Texas Tower was crafted on the Chronicle’s Texas Avenue property upcoming to the Rice Lodge.
